There is no way of seeing this on pictures or any video? Thanks!
Ok then, thanks!
Hope in the future the OSSC haa the capability of doing thatBut the only way to save the profiles is setting all the values manually on that website? Not from the OSSC? Thanks!
The manual states that profiles are not compatible across versions. You need to go back to that webapp, load in the JSON dump of your profiles (you saved that, right?), and generate a bin specifically for 0.83.
No I didn’t save my json file… I’m starting over again even having better results with my SNES and the new “H. S.Rate Adj” on value 5 that looks a lot sharper than before!
So I’m going to do the same with my Genesis and then how can I save that json file? Also would be great to put a name on the profiles.
Thanks!
There is nothing that can be done in OSSC to avoid the jailbars? I am thinking this as I said because on the Framemeister there are no jailbars but the OSSC give me a better image. Thanks
@BuckoA51 I know that the RGB bypass don’t eliminate at all the jailbars but then why with the Framemeister there are 0 jailbars and with the OSSC they can be seen? Maybe is some configuration of my OSSC… Thanks!
Hi there!
I already read that kind of things about brightness and color calibrations but the truth is that the lines didn’t disappear at all and I’m kind of mad cause I bought the Voultars RGB bypass and ordered that modification because of the jailbars and shouldn’t be there right?
I changed the PSU also without difference and for the zooming with my TV I think I’m going to sacrifice the Lx5 mode to the Lx3 mode cause in Lx3 mode my TV showed the zooming options and also some color advantages but its so sad cause the Lx5 mode looks amazing… Very intrigued to know what causes the TV to not show this options at all, any help
Thats the idea, would be great!
Hi there, I’m here losing my head with OSSC and my PS1 again x’D
Today I just tried a utility called “ImportPlayer Light v2.1” for my PAL PS1 to force NTSC video mode in it, resulting on having my spanish PAL game working at 59,27Hz instead of 49,76Hz!
As I posted here before, in PAL mode the Lx5 line mode didn’t worked for me, but now works (all messy), so I decided to go Lx4 anyway since it looks so good and the boot screen for the boot utility CD doesn’t work in Lx5 either.
Okay so now I’m at Lx4 mode, 314p and 1280×240 mode. The screen looks stretched but vertically! And there are things that are showed in screen (cause the Tomb Raider 2 game has an option to move/place the screen and the screen seems to continue all the way down) but I can’t figure out how to stretch the image vertically…
If I increase the vertical active number over 243 it makes nothing, and if I decrease it below that only get worse…What can I do?
Actual settings under 1280×240 are:
H Samplerate: 1618
H Synclen: 72
H Backporch: 170
H Active: 1328
V Synclen: 7 (can’t go over this value)
V Backporch: 32
V Active: 223My TV is a Samsung QLED in 4:3 mode, since I observed that in NTSC video mode only offers my 16:9 or 4:3, avoiding the custom zoom option I sometimes use…
Hi there! Is that possible?
I think you are talking about this settings right?
Lx4 PAL (1080p50) (Generic 4:3 mode)
1. Increase H. Samplerate to 2200 and H. Active to 1920.
2. Decrease V.Active to 270.
3. Increase V.Backporch until you get picture (approximately 28).
NOTE: TV needs to be able to force to 4:3 aspect ratio.
If aspect ratio still looks off, try H.Samplerate 2460, with both H.Sync and H.Backporch around 215. SourceAlternatively, if you cannot force 4:3 you can attempt a Lx4 1440×1080 50Hz 4:3 image: increase H.Samplerate to 1900, H.Active to 1440, h.sync 150, h.backporc 212.
How can I have that SWISS mode? Already have the GCHD MKI on my PAL GC
I used passthrough in that Sony boot up image because I’ve noticed that with that mode the image doesn’t trembles…
So the Lx3 mode is special? Didn’t know that my TV can deinterlace by itself and only in that mode.I didn’t know nothing about that scaler… I have Framemeister too if that works… But I think the PS1 looks better on the OSSC right?
For the game menu screen btw the image position is sooo down don’t know why…
Thanks!
Why this console scene is so poor T___T
I want to play my original spanish games, on my language but with 60Hz… They look so slow on the regular mode sometimes ?I just tried the Pound cable only with my PAL PS1, I think the frecuency is 50Hz for sure, but can’t see it anywhere…
I’ve been today tweaking with the OSSC on my PAL PS1 with the Lx4 configuration recommended here and voila! I can now see the full image on my 65″ Samsung QLED Q8C and is as good as Lx5 mode.
Image here with my TV forcing the 4:3 mode:
With the zoom options of my TV I filled the screen up/down and the left/right borders with almost success:
Yes, I know it would be great to not stretch all the image but the H. Active parameter can’t go above 1920 so… Anyway it looks bad to you guys?
The menu image is the one that I don’t know why it looks like this… It is at the same resolution so I can’t understand whats going on:
For the boot screen, the resolution is different, anyone knows the correct settings for it? 480i/576i I think it is.
And last thing I want to comment is about the image trembling on the game, in the game menu is more visible… Is it because of the interlacing? Can be fixed?
Thanks to everyone for all the information and help! ??
I’m now just trying to connect my pal Playstation 1 to OSSC to see if the result can be better than the pound HDMI cable, which configuration would be better, the Lx4 that Steos gave me above?
