Hi,
I am no expert but I used my OSSC 1.6 with SNES with no problem at all!I remember I seen a video on youtube, a guy said that he had the same issue, and that was because of the scart cable was cheap!
and Btw, maybe that will help you, I use the Scart cable from retro gaming cables!
Are you using a cheap scart cable?
It finally worked! because I wasn’t aware that I needed to download the aud update too!
Thank you so much for following up with me!When I upgraded the OSSC yesterday, I only downloaded the 79.bin update, however I see some update named 79.aud, is that for audio? i’m just confused!
I updated my OSSC 1.6 yesterday to the latest version, I noticed that there is no audio settings in the newest update. Maybe I need to downgrade it?
Regarding the OSSC, sound works fine with other consoles but with using the SCART cable!
I have never used the 3.5mm jack before since I mostly use SCART. However, for the Dreamcast, since I am using a VGA cable, I must use the 3.5mm jack to output audio as you know! I purchased the stereo female RCA to male 3.5mm adapter, hooked it up, no audio at all!
I can’t get the sound of the Dreamcast to work using the OSSC 1.6, I purchased the stereo female RCA to male 3.5mm adapter and hooked up the female RCA with the male RCA that comes out of the VGA Retro-bit cable, and the male 3.5mm to where it says A3 IN on the OSSC, no sound at all!
Can anyone help me please?
Thank you!!Thanks man! I have just ordered the adapter!
Hi,
I am not sure if I got you or no, and apologize if that’s not the answer to your question. So I have the ELGATO HD60S and every retro console I own work fine using the OSSC 1.6
I tried worked fine!1. PS1
2. NES
3. SNES
4. Sega Genesis
5. Dreamcast ( VGA )I use scart cables from RetroGamingCables and they look amazing even with 2x ( My opinion )
Did you hook it up to a HDMI splitter?
Greaaat! Congratsss! 🙂
I am getting it!
Thank a lot for sharing your feedback!!!
I purchased it just for the PS3 so I could stream PS3 games! Yeah, it’s great! but just was wondering if it doesn’t lag with the OSSC!
Thank you for confirming that!
I am just thinking of getting the Elgato Cam Link, but still don’t know if it works without a camera or you need to have a camera to capture games!I have this splitter, but don’t know if this one will work https://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-Powered-Splitter-1080P-Model/dp/B004F9LVXC/ref=sr_1_32?ie=UTF8&qid=1512330541&sr=8-32&keywords=hdmi+splitter
I am not sure if HDMI splitters will cause lag if i hook it up to the Elgato cam link and the OSSC?
Thank you for your solution!
I wanna ask you if you don’t mind!
I am about to get the elgato cam link, however, I am confused about the elgato cam link, do you have to have a camera to capture games? or no need for a camera, you can capture your games like the elgato hd60s?
Thank you!
Thank you so much for your reply!
At least it isn’t an issue with my consoles!Any recommendation to fix it? I have OSSC 1.6
Appreciate it!!!
Hi,
Any updates on the Elgato cam link please?
Can you stream with the Elgato cam link without a cam? I am sorry, i’m confused if it is like any capture card or you must have a cam to stream?
Could you please link the HDMI splitter you ordered?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thank you, appreciate it!!!
