Can you try a screen with multiple colours on, e.g 240p test suite perhaps?
June 29, 2026 at 3:33 PM in reply to: When is AV Input/Output Adapter (SCART) for OSSC Pro available? #69995You’re correct the adapter is entirely passive, I don’t know if this is what is causing your jailbar though.
More stock is just waiting on one single part, that seems to be taking forever to arrive at the factory.
I was not able to replicate this problem in my setup. I used a real N64 with a HDMI mod, output via vga and analogue audio on the extra AV out and the game “Ridge Racer N64” which was known to cause clipping on the Morph analogue bridge. I did not hear any clipping or distortion.
Not sure why you’d use limited range, PCs usually work in full range RGB. Regardless whatever you use it should match through your entire video chain ideally. I’d try setting everything to full range from PC to CRT.
Dejitter is required.
Dumb question but just in case, you have tried simply reducing the volume on the PC, correct?
Edit – sorry NM I saw above you said you did.

I can’t explain this behaviour then. I’ll ask Markus to take a look.
Did you place the volume control before the input on the OSSC Pro or after the output of the OSSC Pro?
i rather prefer the VGA-to-SCART adapter from retro upgrades, because you combine the hv-syncs directly before you send that to the scart jack
A sync combiner is not necessary for the OSSC Pro as you can specify composite sync output through the menus.
I’m not sure what you mean when you say “i have no benefit!”.
Optimal modes are there for upscaling 240p sources, they aren’t available when processing 720p.
480 divided by 3 is 160 so that probably explains why a 3x reduction isn’t working well. Horizontal resolution matters less with CRTs (in fact the higher the better usually).
June 2, 2026 at 9:35 AM in reply to: Investigating the Black Screen Faults in the Sega Saturn #69648Not much to say in reply to that as it’s beyond my level of technical experience, I do appreciate you documenting this effort on our forum though!
If you’re connecting to an OSSC, pin 16 is irrelevant, all grounds should be connected though.
Perfectly possible as long as you output a mode that your CRT can display. What are you inputting and what mode have you got the output set to?
I don’t have an answer for you but just to let you know your e-mail address is rejecting e-mails from VGP. There is also another discussion thread for the profiles website here – https://videogameperfection.com/forums/topic/profile-settings-web-app/page/6/
